Procedures for applying for the Public Assistance System are as follows.

1.Where to apply: Public Assistance Section, Community Care and Support Center of ward office or Public Assistance Section of Health and Welfare Station.

2. Applicant: Those in need of Public Assistance or person under duty to support or a family member living at the same address.

3. How to apply:

(1) If you have trouble making a living, please consult with the officer at the application counter at the ward office of your area.

(2) Consult the Local Welfare Commissioner and have them refer you to an application counter.

4. Office hours: 8:30 am- 0:00 pm, 1:00 pm-5:00 pm, Monday - Friday

5. Holidays: Saturdays, Sundays, National holidays, and December 29 - January 3

6. Note: Even if you do not apply for Public Assistance, you can get consultation about use of alternative systems or measures according to your circumstances.
