Ikuta Park Rose Garden is open to the public in spring and autumn when the roses are in bloom. Furthermore, volunteer citizens participate in tending roses and managing facilities.
1. Period: Mid May - Early June, Mid October - Early November. (The period of opening the garden varies every year depending on when roses bloom. Please refer to the homepage for details.
2. Fee: No charge (Please make a donation for the rose garden.)
3. Address: 2-8-1 and others Nagao, Tama-ku
4. Access:
(1) About 20 minutes on foot from Mukogaoka Yuen Station on Odakyu Line
(2) About 5 minutes on bus for Kajigaya Station, Ida Eigyosho or others from the south exit of Mukogaoka Yuen Station on Odakyu Line (Get off at the Fujiko F. Fujio Museum.)
(3) About 23 minutes on foot from Shukugawara Station on JR Nambu Line
(4) About 20 minutes on bus for Mukogaoka Yuen from Kajigaya Station on Tokyu Denentoshi Line (Get off at the Fujiko F. Fujio Museum.)
5. Parking: 100 cars (Very crowded on weekends and holidays. Please use public transportation if possible.)
6. Note:
To reach into the Rose Garden, you will have to walk uphill from the entrance on the Fuchu Highway, and finally climb up 107 steep steps. If you have trouble with your legs, you can use a van transport service that will take you into the garden and bring you back. Please ask the on-site staff for more information on the service. If you have a physical disability certificate, you can use one of the accessible parking spaces closest to the Rose Garden. Please apply for use with the staff at the entrance.
Pets are not admitted in the park (unless you are holding your pet).
